Dr. Maan comes to your home at the time arranged, and the visit starts by sitting down with your family rather than by starting the procedure. He examines your pet, answers your questions, and explains what each step involves before it happens, so nothing takes you by surprise. You decide where in your home it takes place, who is there, and when to begin. Nothing moves forward until you say you are ready, and no part of the visit is hurried. Afterwards you have as much time with your pet as you want, and Dr. Maan will go through cremation and memorial options with you whenever you are ready to talk about them.

Yes. Children are welcome, and many families choose to have everyone in the room. You know your children best, so how much they see and whether they step out at any point is entirely your decision, and Dr. Maan will follow your lead on what is said in front of them. Other animals in the home can be present too, and can come near your pet afterwards if you would like them to.

If your pet needs help right away, this practice works by appointment and may not be able to reach you right away, so please contact your own veterinarian or the nearest veterinary hospital that is open.

Dr. Maan assesses your pet before anything is decided, and where alternatives exist, including treatment options or changes to how your pet is kept comfortable at home, he will talk them through with you. If your pet already sees a regular veterinarian, speak with them as well, since they know your pet's history and can tell you what may still be possible. A conversation never commits you to anything.
